Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Israel

Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport. You will be met by a Vered Hasharon representative, assisted through customs, and transferred to your hotel in Tel Aviv for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Ceasaria – Muhraka – Akko

Your tour of Israel will begin after breakfast by driving through the modern city of Tel Aviv to the ancient port of Jaffa, which has been beautifully restored, including an appealing Artists Quarter. See the site of the House of Simon. Continue along the coast to the ancient Herodian port city of Caesarea, where you will explore the Roman Theater and other excavations. Continue to Mt. Carmel and the site where Elijah confronted the Priests of Baal (1 Kings 20). Finally, drive to Tiberias and check into hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Boat Ride, Capernaum, Tabgha, Mt. of Beatitudes, Cana, Nazareth, Jordan River, Tiberias

After breakfast, take a stimulating Boat Ride on the Sea of Galilee. Visit ancient Capernaum, where Jesus performed many miracles. Continue on to visit Tabgha, where Jesus fed the Multitudes (Mark 6:30-46). Afterward, visit the Mt. of Beatitudes, where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount and was his Galilee base. Proceed to Cana, the site of the first miracle, and then to Nazareth. While in Nazareth, we will visit the magnificent Church of the Annunciation with its outstanding mosaics and where the Angel Gabriel told the Virgin Mary that she would give birth to the Messiah (Luke 1:26–38). Drive to the Jordan River in whose waters John baptized Jesus. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Jericho, Dead Sea, Jerusalem

Today after breakfast, drive along the Jordan Valley, passing Jericho, one of the world’s oldest walled cities and the city that Joshua destroyed. Here, we will view the Mount of Temptation and visit the place of the Sycamore Tree where Jesus entered Jericho (Luke 19:1-10). Continue on to the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth, where there will be a possibility to float in the unique mineral-rich waters. Drive to the Inn of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25–37) and then ascend to the Holy City of Jerusalem. Check into hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

New City of Jerusalem and Bethlehem

Enjoy your breakfast, before driving up the Mt. of Olives for an overview of the Old City of Jerusalem. Walk along the Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-56). Visit the Church of all Nations. Continue to visit the Upper Room on Mt. Zion, where Jesus and his disciples ate the Last Supper. Next, drive to Bethlehem and visit the Church of the Nativity built over the site where Jesus was born (Luke 2:1-20). See the place at Shepherds’ Fields where the shepherds were tending their flocks when they heard a heavenly chorus and followed the star to Bethlehem. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Old City of Jerusalem

After breakfast, enter the old city through the St. Stephens gate (Acts 7:54-60). Walk to the Pool of Bethesda, outside the city walls and where Jesus cured the paralytic man. Once back inside the city walls, walk along the Via Dolorosa, following the 14 Stations of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher (Matthew 27). Next, visit the Wailing Wall, where Jews gather from all over the world to commemorate the destruction of the First and Second Temples. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure for shopping in the exotic and bustling bazaars of the Old City. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 7

Departure

Today you will be transferred to Ben Gurion Airport, and a Vered Hasharon representative will assist you with all formalities for your departure flight.
