Sample itinerary for pre-organized Groups

 

Day 1. Istanbul

Arrival to the airport of Istanbul, assistance and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.\

Day 2. Istanbul

Start the day with a visit to Haghia Sophia, the most influential church of Byzantium, it still stands today as one of the world's greatest architectural marvels. Then visit the Blue Mosque, another of the world's most important religious buildings. Built in the 16th century the mosque is unique for it's 6 minarets and celestial interior decorated with the famous blue tiles. Next, visit the Hippodrome, scene of chariot races. Obelisk of Theodosius, the Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. The grand Topkapi Palace, residence of Ottoman Sultan's from the 15th to the 19th century. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 3. Istanbul - Canakkale

Departure to Canakkale situated on the Asian side of the Dardanelles strait. Lunch and departure to Troy, the famous old city which remains, the other poetic Horse. Overnight in Canakkale.

Day 4. Canakkale - Pergamon - Izmir - Kusadasi

Departure to the Old City of Pergamon, one of the old centers of culture, commerce and medicine. Visit to the great Acropolis (the Altar of Zeus, Asclepios, etc) Lunch and departure to Izmir for a panoramic view of the city. Continue to Kusadasi. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5. Kusadasi - Ephesus - Pamukkale

Departure to Ephesus, the best conserved old city on Minor Asia. During the 1 and 2 centuries the city had 250,000 inhabitants and was the Monopoly of richness in the Middle East. Visit to Adrian's Temple, The Roman Baths, the Library, the Odeon, the Theater, etc. Visit the Virgin Mary's house, the Bas Tilva of St. John. Lunch and drive to Pamukkale. overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 6. Pamukkale - Konya - Cappadocia

In the morning visit the ancient site of Hierapolis including Theater, Apollo Tample and Necropolis, then the calcium terraces of Pamukkale. Today we will also visit the Greek-Roman site of Aphrodisias. Lunch and continue to Cappadocia. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 7. Cappadocia

Today we explore Cappaocia with underground city of Kamyakli and the natural citadel of Uchishar. We will then visit the Goreme Valley and the open air museum featuring ancient churches with colorful frescoes, which are hewn from the rock. The next stop is Pasabagi Valley, with its vineyards, volcanic cones and monk's dwellings. We will then visit the famous pottery center of Avanos. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 8. Cappadocia - Ankara

Breakfast and departure to Ankara, capital of the Turkish Republic. Lunch on route, arrival to Ankara. P.M. visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, which is located in restored bazaar. The Mausoleum of Ataturk, which serves as tribute to the founder of modern Turkey. Overnight in Ankara.

Day 9. Ankara - Istanbul

Breakfast and departure by bus to Istanbul. Arrival, transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 10. Istanbul

Transfer to the airport for final departure.
