GIG Gospel Israel Gala – 2010

 

South African Pilgrim Groups  joining together in praise and worship in the Holy Land

 

 

 

 

A group of 1500 South Africans arrived in Israel at the beginning of October for the GIG Gospel Israel Gala. GIG also refers to “God Is Great” and “God Is Good”. Various tour groups travelled around to tour the country and then joined up in Jerusalem and staged three evening ministry events.

        

The first evening event took place on October 6 at Mount Moriah, Jerusalem led by Angus Buchan. The second evening was the  “Come In!” gathering led by Lindie Gouws at the foot of  the Southern Steps in Jerusalem and on October 8 on the third evening, everyone  gathered  together for an evening of praise and worship at Ein Gedi together with Dr Isak Burger.

    

Amongst the Gospel artists that performed at these events were:  Retief Burger, Vian Vos, Jan De Wet, Danie Botha, Hessel Van der Walt, Manuel Escarcio, Trevor Samson, Bobby Van Janesveld and Julius Magen.
