Gospel Israel GIG 2011 

 

Following the success of last year’s GIG tour to Israel, a second gathering took place in September 2011  in Israel.

A group of 400 South Africans traveled to tour the Holy Land and join together in two evenings of worship and praise.

 

     

 

The evening events took place in Jerusalem, the first led by Dr Isak Burger at the Davidson center in the Old City of Jerusalem and the second evening was held at the Pavilion in Jerusalem. Both evenings were hugely successful and filled with praise, worship and music performed by some of South Africa’s favorite gospel artists including Juanita Du Plessis, Danie Botha and Hessel Van Der Walt and other gospel singers.

 

 

   

 

The group also spent time touring the Holy Land visiting religious sites in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee.

 

During the Gospel GIG 2011 tour, Dr Isak Burger, President of the Apostolic faith Mission of SA was honored by Yardenit Baptismal Site, in recognition of his friendship and support, by planting an olive tree in his honor.
