Although it is still a month to go until the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Independence of the State of Israel begin our groups that arrived in the Holy Land during March could already feel the festive feeling in the air with blue and white flags already decorating the streets throughout the country. In addition, March is the beginning of spring, which lends itself to a decoration and a natural coloring of flowers, making the photos and experiences of our Groups in the Holy Land even more beautiful.
The Catholic pilgrimages of March turned their itineraries essentially to the most important places of the life of Jesus Christ, very high at this time of the year because of the Christian Easter coming up at the end of the month. Masses were held in the Basilica of the Annunciation and in the Church of St. Joseph, both in Nazareth, in the Church of the Primacy of Peter in Tabgha and the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. Many couples were able to experience the renewal of their marriage vows in Cana of Galilee and in the Jordan River they renewed the vows of Baptism. Still in the Galilee region, participants took the traditional boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, admiring a breathtaking sunset or just spending time in contemplation and prayer. Our pilgrims also spent time touring the holy sites of Jerusalem, including the unforgettable journey following the Stations of the Cross.
As well as our many pilgrim and sight-seeing tours visiting the Holy Land, we also had an Agro tour group from Singapore touring Israel and the agricultural sites. Another Agro tour group that arrived was a Swedish delegation of 23 farmers, agricultural consultants and researchers who came to Israel with Vered Hasharon to visit and study the advanced technologies of dairy farming methods implemented in Israel as well as learn about ongoing research in the different fields of agriculture.
All in all, March was another exciting and successful month for our groups touring the Holy Land with us. We look forward to April which looks to be a very interesting month filled with joy and celebrations and lots of groups.
