Touring outdoor locations on a Segway is an exhilarating and enjoyable experience. A Segway is a personal battery powered electric vehicle with two wheels, it is self-balancing, easy to operate in a pedestrian environment and a lot of fun to use.
There are guided Segway tours available in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv that will exceed your expectations.
In Tel Aviv there are tours available from the Old Tel Aviv Port (Namal) which is located in the north western part of the city close to the Reading Power Station. Not long ago the Namal was reconstructed and is now a lively and interesting entertainment center. There is a tour going north across the Yarkon river to the Reading Power station an along the promenade to Tel Baruch beach and then returning to the Namal, or another choice would be to go south past Gordon Beach, stopping at the site where the Cargo vessel Altalena was sunk and then carrying on along the promenade to the Old Jaffa Port and returning to the Namal complex.
There are also tours to Tel Aviv’s beautiful Park HaYarkon as well as an outstanding and relaxing tour in the Safari Park at Ramat Gan which is home to a large variety of mammals, bird life and reptiles. The Segway will enable you to visit parts of the park which are not normally accessible to all visitors.
Jerusalem Segway tours are varied; there is a fascinating tour through the charming old Jerusalem neighbourhoods of Mishkanot Shaananim and Yamin Moshe. Another option is a stunningly beautiful tour along the Armon Hanatsiv Promenade. This consists of the Goldman, Haas and Sherover Promenades to the observation point with magnificent views of the Mounts of Moab, the Mount of Olives and the Old City of Jerusalem.
There is also a guided Segway tour to the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo. This large Zoo is located on a number of Plateaus and using a Segway is helpful as it allows for a much more extensive visit than usual.
Touring by Segway is a safe and fun filled way to spend time enjoying the outdoors during your visit to Israel.
