Day 6: Jerusalem
In the morning after breakfast you will
be driven to see the incredible views
of Jerusalem’s old city from the Mount
of Olives. The day will be spent visiting Monastery of the Cross. Dinner and
such places as the Chapel of Ascension,
the Church of Mary Magdalene, the
Gardens and Tomb of the Virgin Mary.
The Old City is also included in today’s
sightseeing starting with following the
Stations of the Cross along the Via
Dolorosa. Then a visit to the Church of
the Holy Sepulchre, the Temple Mount
Area and the Western Wall. On to the
birthplace of John the Baptist at Ein
Karem and the Church of the Visitation.
Return to Jerusalem hotel for dinner and
overnight.
Today will start after breakfast with a
visit to King David’s Tomb, the Dormition
Abbey as well as a visit to the Hall of
the Last Supper. There will be a visit to
see the Dead Sea Scrolls and a model
of Jerusalem at the time of the Second
Temple at the Shrine of the Book. Drive
to view the Knesset (Israel’s Parliament),
continuing on to the Greek Orthodox
overnight in Jerusalem
Day 8: Bethlehem, Bethany, Wadi
Kelt, Qumran, Dead Sea, Jerusalem
Your day will begin with a drive to
Bethlehem via the Mar Elias Monastery.
On the way to the Basilica of the Nativity
in Bethlehem you will visit Rachel’s tomb
followed by a visit to Bethany, home
of Mary, Martha and Lazarus. After
that you will be driven to St. George’s
Monastery via Wadi Kelt, along the Old
Jericho Road, the place where the Profit
Elijah was fed to the Ravens. After that
there will be a visit to where the Dead
Sea Scrolls were discovered in a cave
at Qumran. Finally enjoy the unique
experience of floating in the healing
waters of the Dead Sea. Dinner and
overnight in Jerusalem
Day 9: Jerusalem, Tel Aviv
After Breakfast in your Jerusalem hotel,
you will be transported to Ben Gurion
Airport in time for your departure flight.
