Our annual CINPEC group from Senegal - have just spent 19 days touring the Holy Land, Rome and Lourdes. CINPEC 2014 – Pelerins avec la Sainte Famille
The group of 245 Catholic pilgrims set out from Senegal travelling first to the Holy land. While in Israel the group spent time visiting the Holy sites in Jerusalem including the Church of the Ascension and the Pater Noster Church, the Old City of Jerusalem, The Church of All Nations, Ein Karem as well as Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum and Emmaus. They visited Jericho and the Dead Sea region stopping at the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered and taking time to relax and swim in the Dead Sea.
The group then travelled north to the Galilee region to tour Nazareth, Mount Tabor, Muhraka as well as Capernaum, Tabgha and the Mount of Beatitudes. The group also enjoyed a cruise on the Sea of Galilee which included Mass in the middle of the Lake and visited Yardenit baptism site on the shores of the Jordan River.
From the Holy Land the group continued on to Rome and spent 5 days exploring the sites of this magnificent city and had a papal audience at the Vatican. While in Rome the group spent time at the many holy sites in the region before leaving and continuing on to Lourdes.
The five days in Lourdes was spent visiting the Churches and other holy sites as well as participating in Marian Torchlight Procession and Mass at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
Finally after a very rewarding trip, the pilgrims made their way to the airport to return home.
