Two-day tour of Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and the Dead Sea

 

Day 1. Jerusalem – Bethlehem

Panoramic overview from the Mount of Olives overlooking Jerusalem-new city and the Temple Mount Esplanade of the old city. Travel along the Kidron Valley to view the Garden of Gethsemane and the walls of the city. Via the Armenian Quarter, enter The Western (Wailing) Wall square via the local Bazaar to the Christian Quarter, the Stations of the Cross (Via Dolorosa), and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre – the site of the crucifixion. Walk along the 1700-year-old Byzantine main street, the Cardo, and the renovated Jewish Quarter. Ascend Mt. Zion – Hall of the last supper, David’s tomb – enter the 500-year-old city ramparts. Enter Bethlehem via Manger Square, where the Church of the Nativity is located. Overlook the shepherd fields.


Day 2. Jericho – Dead Sea – Qumran

Descend to the Judean Desert via the Inn of the Good Samaritan and view of Jericho. View the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Relax at one of the resorts on the shore of the mineral-rich Dead Sea. Enjoy the unique experience of floating on your back in the water and rubbing therapeutic Dead Sea mud on your body. Return to Jerusalem.

 

Departs: daily

Recommend to bring: hats, bathing suits, towels, comfortable shoes and beach thongs for the Dead Sea.
Modest dress and comfortable shoes are required.


Day 1 in Bethlehem is subject to Palestinian authority regulations.


On Saturdays, the Holocaust Museum is closed. Substituted by a visit to the Garden of Gethsemane. (Day 1- the 1st tour option)


Treatments need to be reserved a day in advance.
