Holy Land Tour
Some of the exciting and beautiful attractions to visit in the Holy Land
Israel is the epicenter of culture and spirituality for many different religions, among them Christianity, Catholicism, Judaism, Islam, and Baha’i, to name just a few. But when you’re touring a country as magical as Israel, with so many fabulous things to see, religion can take a backseat to beauty, history, tradition, and timeless value. So take a ride with us to discover the Holy Land tours – the leading attractions.
There are so many things in Israel to see, each with its own unique aspect and attraction. Some are important for their spiritual meaning, others are simply a marvel of nature, and yet others are steeped in centuries of ritual and tradition, but all make Israel a place unlike any other.
One of Israel’s natural assets and a place unlike anywhere else is the Dead Sea. It is the lowest point on earth, and home to many healing powers found in its rich mud, packed with minerals and nutrients, and its salty waters, where you can float away on a salt bath of relaxation.
The Old City of Jerusalem is where culture, religion, tradition, age, and modernity go hand in hand. With the Western (Wailing) Wall, a symbol of Jewish spirituality, where in the cracks of the remains of the Temple people can insert notes of prayer, or the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the sight of Jesus’s crucifixion, and the Dome of the Rock with its shining golden ceiling.
Masada, the great mountain fortress built by King Herod, is another fabulous place to visit, and walking through it is like a history lesson come to life. The Baha’i Gardens in Haifa, built by the Baha’i faithful to honor their founder Baha’ullah, is one of the most beautiful gardens found in the world and will simply take your breath away in its splendor.
Other notables include the Banias Nature Reserve, with fantastic hiking trails tucked into the lush green forest, which emerges on one of the most beautiful and impressive waterfalls. This tranquil spot is often inhabited by wildlife such as hyrax and ibex. The Sea of Galilee and nearby Capernaum, where Jesus walked on water, Yad Vashem, the moving Israeli tribute to the millions of Jewish victims of the holocaust, and Eilat with its beautiful weather and fantastic beaches.
