Sayari Afrika Agricultural Tour of the Holy Land
On May 11 2012, a group of 37 people arrived from Kenya on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. This group as well as being here to tour the holy sites in Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee region and the rest of the country, came to Israel for the Agritech Agricultural Exhibition that was held in Tel Aviv from May 15-17 and also incorporated into their tour some professional visits to a number of agricultural sites.
One of the agricultural professional visits was to Shvil Hasalat – (the Salad trail) where the group got to see Hi-tech greenhouses, tasted flying strawberries which are grown in a unique way and even got to release racing pigeons.
Another professional site visited was a Kibbutz in the Negev to see and hear about the diary farming and high tech milking methods used.
