Maeland Group from Norway
The Maeland group of 23 pilgrims from Norway arrived in Israel in April for an 11 day Holy Land tour.
Upon arrival the group traveled north to visit the sights in the Galilee region. Beginning with Nazareth and the Church of the Annunciation, Nazareth Village an open-air museum which re-enacts life in the Galilee during the time of Jesus and the archeological site of Zippori. They visited Tiberias, enjoyed a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, toured Capernaum, Mt of Beatitudes and Banias before continuing to Akko, Haifa and Caesarea.
The group also toured Beit Shean, the Anglican Church in Nablus, Jacobs Well and Mt Gerizim.
Other places visited during this Holy Land pilgrimage included Jericho, The dead Sea, Masada as well as the holy sites in Jerusalem and Yad Vashem Memorial to the Holocaust.
