Fr Javier Caballero Group Tour From Mexico
On March 23, 2014, a Mexican group of pilgrims arrived in the Holy Land for a 9 day tour of cultural and religious sites in Israel. The group was led by Father Javier Caballero.
During their stay in the North of the country, the Group visited the Roman ruins at Caesarea Maritime, participated in the Holy Mass in the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth, visited Mount Tabor, Haifa, Capernaum and Cana of Galilee, where wedding vows are renewed and also enjoyed a cruise on the Sea of Galilee.
The group also visited Bethlehem, Jericho, Bethany, Masada, Qumran and the Dead Sea.
While touring the old and new city of Jerusalem the group walked the Via Dolorosa following the Stations of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. They also visited other sites including the Church of St Anne and the Western (wailing) Wall.
After completing their tour in Israel the pilgrims continued on to Jordan, where they visited the magnificent Red Rose City of Petra, enjoyed a panoramic ride through the city of Amman, capital of Jordan, and visited Jerash, one of the best preserved Roman cities in the Middle East.
