The first Minerva German-Israeli Science Festival was held at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem from October 16-18, 2012
The Minerva Foundation funds high-quality research in Israel and encourages cooperation between research partners in Israel and Germany. The Foundation has 30 research centers in Israeli universities, where Israeli and German scientists work together in different fields of research.
Amongst the many distinguished guests taking part in the festival were:
Dr. Annette Schavan, the German Federal Minister of Education and Research
Israeli Minister of Education - Gideon Sa’ar
Israeli Minister of Science and Technology - Dr. Daniel Hershkowitz
Professor Menahem Ben-Sasson - Hebrew University President
Vered Hasharon and Liberty International Israel made the land arrangements for this Science Festival including hotel rooms, transportation, meeting halls, the gala dinner and technical equipment and helped make sure that the festival ran smoothly and was a great success.
