The Vered Hasharon Team, Your Tour Operators in Israel, recently went on another educational tour in the Holy Land. We never stop exploring and learning to find new and exciting sites to add to your next Holy Land Tours pilgrimage.
We visited the new Saxum Visitors Center in Abu Gosh (Saxum meaning rock in Latin). Abu Gosh is also famous for the best ever creamy hummus spread and pita bread so save some appetite for this. (hummus = chickpeas, sesame paste, garlic, olive oil and tahini spread)
We were very impressed by the amazing modern Multimedia system with its abundance of different resources to help pilgrims enrich their personal Holy Land experience.
The incredible new Saxum Visitor Center features maps, models and descriptions of
the Holy Land sites spanning over the different time periods in history.
The modern multimedia system includes resources with touch screens and 4D projections about the Holy Land Heritage.
For spiritual time, there is a lovely chapel where mass or reflection may be celebrated.
Your Tour Operators in Israel may recommend the Emmaus Trail, a path in the footsteps of Cleopas the disciple. (Cleopas was a figure in early Christianity, one of the two disciples who encountered Jesus during the road to Emmaus, Luke 24:13 – 32). You can either walk the 18km or part of it.
Starting at the Saxum Visitors Center in Abu Gosh ( after you have eaten hummus and pita bread) and ending at the Emmaus Nicopolis Monastery. The Emmaus Trail gives the pilgrim a spiritual encounter with Jesus in the way the disciples had.
You will have time to reflect and go back into Biblical times and add value to your personal Holy Land Tours.
Your Holy Land Tours personal guide or spiritual leader will enrich you with the scriptures on your personal journey through the bible.
Your Tour Operators in Israel are here waiting for you and we will come back to you with more interesting places to visit.
Stay tuned and see you soon.
