This tour is ideal for young Christian Pilgrims from around the world wishing to travel to the Holy Land and see first-hand the wondrous Holy sites of the Bible.
The below sample itinerary is intended for a group traveling together
Arrival at Ben Gurion airport, meeting and assistance by Vered Hasharon Tours representative. Drive via the coastal highway to visit the Roman theater and crusader ruins at Caesarea, and the aqueduct serve as a back-drop to The Book of Acts; Cornelius was the first gentile to become a Christian and St. Paul was imprisoned for 2 years here before he sailed to Rome. After the visit, drive to Haifa the third largest city in Israel. See the panoramic view from the top of Mt. Carmel. Visit the top balcony of the Baha’i shrine. Continue to the Carmelite Monastery Muhraka. Here you will learn about the contest between Elijah the Prophet and the 450 Baal prophets. Drive to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.
- After breakfast, visit the Mt. of Beatitudes, where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. (Matthew 5:3). On to Capernaum, Jesus’ base on the Sea of Galilee. Continue to Tabgha, where the 5000 where fed by Jesus with only 2 fish and 5 loaves and visit Mensa Christi (John 21: 1). Afternoon drive to Cana of Galilee where Jesus performed his first miracle changing water to wine (John 2) and visit the Wedding church. Continue to Nazareth, where Jesus spent most of his life. Visit the Church of Annunciation and St. Joseph's workshop. Return to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.
- We start the morning with a boat ride in a replica of a wooden Galilean fishing boat on the Sea of Galilee and where Jesus calmed the storm and walked on the water (MK.6:48). Drive to one of the main sources of the River Jordan – the site of Caesarea Philippi (Matthew 16) Enjoy a walk through the nature reserve of Banias. Continue to the River Jordan and enjoy an hour of rafting if the weather permits. Afternoon visit to the River Jordan (Yardenit) site for baptism, return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
- This morning we leave the Sea of Galilee, drive along the Jordan Valley via Jericho, the first city conquered by Joshua. Visit the Sycamore tree where Zacchaeus climbed the tree for a view of Jesus walking through. View the Mt of Temptation where the devil tried to tempt Jesus (Matthew 4:1) Continue to Qumran by the Dead Sea and visit the excavations of the site where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. Take some time to swim and float in the Dead Sea. Drive to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
- After breakfast drive to Mt. of Olives to see an overview of Jerusalem. Walk the traditional Palm Sunday road to visit the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of all Nations. Enter the Dung Gate for a walking tour in the Old City. Visit the Western (Wailing) Wall, follow the traditional Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. On through the Christian Quarter to the Jaffa Gate. In the afternoon, drive to Bethlehem the birthplace of Jesus and visit the Church of Nativity, view the Shepherds Fields, stop for shopping in Bethlehem then back to Jerusalem for overnight.
- We will begin our day with a tour to Mt. Zion for a visit to King David's Tomb and the Room of the last Supper (Luke 22: 7, 13. Continue to the model of the Menorah (Candelabra) near the Knesset (Israeli Parliament). Drive on to the Yad Vashem Museum, memorial site for the six million holocaust victims in World War II. In the afternoon drive to the wilderness outside Jerusalem and enjoy camel rides and Hospitality in a Bedouin tent. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Visit of the Garden Tomb where many Christians identify as being the burial site of Jesus and optional communion service – then rest of the day free time for personal use and shopping.
