December – a month filled with joy and hope. Celebrations throughout the country - for Hanukkah - the Festival of Lights - and for Christmas. Not even the winter cold could take away from the festive feeling and decorations in the streets throughout the Holy Land. A very special time to enjoy a Holyland Tour.
Besides for our annual Christmas Guaranteed tour which took place from December 22- 29 we also had a number of other groups joining us to celebrate the festivities in the Holy Land and Christmas Eve in Bethlehem.
One of our groups from Zimbabwe comprised of 18 people, here on a family tour, spent Christmas eve in Bethlehem at the Church of Nativity. Another very special group visiting was from Uganda – a group of children who came to celebrate Christmas in the Holy Land and tour the sites. We had a special surprise package waiting for each child at the airport upon arrival which included a delicious chocolate Santa and chocolate decorations covered in colourful wrappings.
25 people came from the Faroe Islands to experience Christmas in the Holy Land. Besides for enjoying Christmas dinner in Bethlehem, the group toured the wonderful sights of the county including spending time in the Sea of Galilee region.
Groups from other countries including from South Africa, The Philippines, the USA, South America and many other places, all came to experience the wonder of the Holy Land at Christmas.
We close this year on a high and look forward to all the wonderful groups that we will get to meet and welcome in 2019.
Happy New Year!
