Ivory Coast group Tour to the Holy Land - Groupe DIRECTION NATIONAL DES ŒUVRES CATHOLIQUES
A group of 30 Catholic pilgrims from the Ivory Coast spent 12 days in December 2014 touring the Holy Land. Their tour program began in Tel Aviv and Jaffa from where they continued North to Haifa where they visited the Stella Maris Monastery and then on to Tiberius in the Galilee area of Israel. Here they spent time visiting Nazareth as well as Cana, Capernaum, Mount Tabor and the Mount of Beatitudes as well as the traditional Baptism site of Yardenit on the Jordan River.
The group then travelled via Jericho to Jerusalem. In Jerusalem they visited the Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulcher and many other holy places. They also drove to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity and the Grotto.
During the trip the group had daily mass at the places they visited and spent Christmas in Bethlehem.
